Iranian authorities reported a deadly clash between police and terrorists near the border with Pakistan in Saravan, Sistan and Baluchistan province. Three terrorists were killed by security forces during the confrontation on Sunday morning. The attack took place when terrorists ambushed a police patrol in the volatile region, which is known to be a hotspot for terrorist activities.

Following the ambush, police retaliated, resulting in the death of three attackers, while others escaped. Security forces are actively searching for the remaining perpetrators. Sadly, one police officer was killed, and another was wounded and is currently hospitalized.

The province is regularly affected by unrest due to the presence of armed groups involved in terrorism and smuggling.
