Addressing the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, confronted the issue of terrorism before an audience of international leaders. He specifically referred to the Pahalgam attack and its brutality while pointing out that a neighboring nation is the origin of terrorism. India took action against terrorist locations following the Pahalgam attack.
Jaishankar urged that fighting terrorism should be a primary global concern and that it must be completely eliminated. He pointed out India’s decades-long experience with terrorism, which he linked to the actions of its neighboring country. He noted that this neighboring country has long been seen as the “global heart of terrorism.”
