New Delhi is on high alert following the reported death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a US-Israel strike. The Home Ministry and security agencies have issued directives to all states to monitor suspects closely and deploy adequate police forces to maintain law and order nationwide.

Protests in support of Khamenei have erupted across various states, with some individuals using social media to spread misinformation and incite unrest. Authorities have issued stern warnings against posting, sharing, or forwarding provocative, inflammatory, or objectionable content. Such actions could disrupt public peace and pose serious threats to stability.

While the right to peaceful and lawful expression is respected, violence, damage to public property, and confrontations with security forces will not be tolerated under any circumstances. These acts lead to loss of life, property damage, and widespread societal disruption.

Police have vowed rigorous legal action against violators. Elements involved in illegal activities, instigators, and anti-social elements will be identified and dealt with firmly.

In Karnataka’s Bandipura district, local police have appealed to citizens for cooperation in upholding law and order. Maintaining peace and security is a collective responsibility, and people are urged to avoid any activities that could disturb public tranquility.

The appeal emphasizes refraining from vandalism, riots, stone-pelting, or any form of disturbance. Such behaviors not only violate the law but also cause immense hardship to the general public, traders, students, and daily wage laborers. Violence often results in school closures, transportation disruptions, and economic setbacks.

As tensions simmer in the Middle East, India’s proactive measures aim to safeguard internal security and prevent any spillover effects from escalating into domestic chaos.
