This commitment to strong ties was evident in an October phone call where PM Modi congratulated Netanyahu on the progress of the Gaza Peace Plan, facilitated by the US. Modi lauded Netanyahu’s leadership and expressed optimism that the release of hostages and increased humanitarian assistance would foster peace in the region. The Indian Prime Minister had also previously spoken with former US President Donald Trump, congratulating him on the success of the Gaza peace plan.
