Tensions in the Middle East have skyrocketed following a series of escalating military exchanges between Israel, the United States, and Iran. In a stark condemnation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has labeled Iran a ‘terror state’ for deliberately targeting innocent civilians amid ongoing conflicts.

IDF spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani took to the social media platform X to voice his outrage. ‘From the outset of Operation Roaring Lion, the Iranian regime has been targeting civilians. We know this is their strategy. In their latest attack, they killed several innocent people in the Beit Shemesh community,’ Shoshani wrote. He extended deep condolences to the victims’ families and vowed relentless efforts to dismantle Iran’s terror capabilities.

The IDF further highlighted that Iranian missiles were fired directly at residential areas in Beit Shemesh, resulting in the deaths of unarmed civilians. ‘This is a regime that intentionally targets civilians while we precisely strike terrorist targets. They weaponize civilian deaths as part of their war tactics,’ an official IDF statement read.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amplified the call to action in a video message, urging Iranian citizens to rise against their oppressive regime. ‘In the coming days, we will strike thousands of terrorist regime targets. We will create conditions for the brave people of Iran to break free from the chains of tyranny. Don’t miss this once-in-a-generation opportunity,’ Netanyahu declared.

On the other side, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian defended the retaliatory strikes as both a legal right and a moral duty. He accused Israel and the US of assassinating Supreme Leader Khamenei, vowing that the Islamic Republic would pursue justice with full force against those responsible.

As the conflict intensifies, the international community watches closely, with fears of a broader regional war looming large. The IDF’s firm stance underscores Israel’s commitment to protecting its people while exposing what it sees as Iran’s barbaric tactics.
