The IDF stated that Saleh was a key source of information within the Hamas organization and played a role in planning maritime attacks. The strike also resulted in the elimination of Hisham Ayman Atiya Mansour and Nissim Muhammad Suleiman Abu Sabha. The announcement came as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to meet with US President Donald Trump.
