Beijing, February 19 – In a show of international camaraderie, several world leaders and heads of international organizations have extended warm wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people for the Year of the Dragon. These greetings underscore the strengthening diplomatic ties and mutual respect on the global stage.

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud highlighted China’s people-centered development philosophy. He praised the nation’s strategic foresight in crafting its 15th Five-Year Plan, emphasizing high-quality growth. ‘Somalia applauds this approach and stands ready to collaborate with China to advance development,’ Mohamud stated. He wished China enduring peace, prosperity, and strength as it strides forward.

Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadéra reaffirmed his country’s view of China as a reliable strategic partner. Touadéra expressed firm support for China’s four major global initiatives and committed to joint efforts in upholding multilateralism. Together, they aim to promote world peace and development amid global challenges.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić described the Year of the Dragon as a symbol of enthusiasm, ambition, courage, and decisive action. Under Xi Jinping’s visionary leadership, he expressed confidence in China’s continued successes across various domains. As a steadfast friend and comprehensive strategic partner, Serbia is eager to deepen the Serbia-China community with a shared future in this new era.

These messages arrive as China ushers in the Lunar New Year, a time of reflection and renewal. They reflect not just festive cheer but a broader commitment to bilateral cooperation, signaling optimism for collaborative progress in the year ahead.
