A 20-point plan proposed by former US President Donald Trump to end the Gaza war has garnered attention. The plan was discussed with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who showed a positive reaction. This plan requires Hamas’s acceptance.

According to ABC News, Qatari and Egyptian officials have met with Hamas negotiators to present the details of the plan. The negotiators have stated they will review the proposal before providing a response. The plan includes several key conditions for Hamas, such as the disarmament of its fighters and the destruction of its tunnels and weapons facilities. Hamas would also be excluded from any role in future governance, with amnesty offered to fighters seeking peace. Additionally, the plan involves the release of hostages within 72 hours if Hamas accepts the deal.

The plan has received positive responses from several Muslim nations, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, and Egypt. Netanyahu has conditionally supported the plan, stating that it aligns with Israel’s goals. He has made it clear that if Hamas rejects the deal, Israel will act on its own. Netanyahu also indicated that Israel will maintain a security presence even if the plan is accepted.
