Another serious case has come to light in Jogeshwari East of Mumbai. Five persons sexually assaulted the 12 -year -old girl here, causing a stir in the area. This gang rape incident has raised serious questions about the safety of women and girls in Mumbai.
Jogeshwari police in Mumbai arrested 5 suspects in a case. According to the information received, the victim girl resides in Jogeshwari area with her uncle and disappeared after school on 24 February. His uncle, who is a driver, lodged a complaint of kidnapping against unknown accused at Jogeshwari police station on 26 February.

Case came up due to police vigilance
The railway police got suspicious when the victim girl was seen around Dadar railway station. During interrogation, he told that he has been sexually harassed. Subsequently, the Dadar Railway Police immediately approached the Jogeshwari police and registered a case of gang rape against the accused on the basis of the victim’s complaint. The Jogeshwari police took action against 5 accused under the Poxo Act and arrested all the accused.
The arrested accused are AC mechanic. When the girl was alone after school leave, the accused took her to her house in Sanjay Nagar area of Jogeshwari and raped her in turn. Currently, the Jogeshwari police have arrested all the five accused and are engaged in further investigation. The police have registered a case based on the statement of the victim child and are trying to find out the truth of the incident with the help of CCTV footage.

The accused found him alone and took him to his residence in Sanjay Nagar, Jogeshwari and raped her in turn. Finally, on 27 February, the victim got the railway police at Dadar station, which handed her over to the Jogeshwari police. During the interrogation of the police, it became clear that he had a sexual harassment incident in the Jogeshwari area.
