New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday talked about his weight loss journey on World Lever Day, and motivated the “youth of the country” to actively focus on his health to “live the next 40-50 years and contribute to the progress of the country.”
Recalling his journey towards fitness, Shah said that for this he had to change his diet, increase sleep hours and exercise daily.
Addressing an event organized by the Institute of Lever and Billiery Sciences in Delhi on World Lever Day, he said, “The required amount of sleep, water and diet, and regular exercise have given me a lot… Today, I stand before you free from any kind of allopathic medicine and insulin,”
Sharing his experiences about his weight loss trip since 2020, Shah urged people to take exercise and sleep seriously. He said, “I request him to exercise two hours for his body and sleep for six hours for his brain. It will be very useful. It is my own experience.”
Many other dignitaries including Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also shared the stage with Shah. Appreciating the “admirable” initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told X: “Small steps like reducing oil intake can bring a big change. Come, let us all together create a healthy and healthy India by increasing awareness about obesity.”
