A hearth broke out on a ferry crusing from Greece to Italy on Friday with 288 folks on board, the Greek coast guard mentioned.
The Italian-flagged Euroferry Olympia used to be headed to the port of Brindisi and the hearth, the reasons of that have been no longer straight away identified, broke out close to the island of Corfu within the Ionian Sea.
The coast guard mentioned 237 passengers and 51 staff participants have been on board, and 3 coast guard vessels have been concerned within the rescue operation.
