Congress has suffered another major setback before the Lok Sabha elections. Some time ago the news came that former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and veteran leader Ashok Chavan has resigned. But now the news is that not only he but 10-12 MLAs along with him are also preparing to leave the party and join BJP.
However, he has not said anything officially regarding this yet. Earlier, Milind Deora had left Congress on 14 January and Baba Siddiqui on 8 February. It has been claimed in media reports that Ashok Chavan’s phone is currently unreachable. According to sources, Ashok Chavan can join BJP along with 13 big leaders.
Congress’s Rajya Sabha seat in danger
Quoting sources in media reports, it is reported that among the 13 leaders who will leave Congress along with Ashok Chavan, many MLAs are also included. If this happens, not a single Rajya Sabha member of Congress will be elected from Maharashtra.
