Attendees at the black-tie dinner were reportedly prohibited from bringing mobile phones or other digital devices, and no text of the speech was made available. News outlets reported on the speech, indicating that Munir made several references to the conflict with India during his address. The Print quoted Munir as saying, “We will start from the east of India, where they have established their most valuable resources, and then move westward.” He allegedly alluded to recent diplomatic tensions between India and the United States amid the Trump tariff dispute. Munir also jokingly suggested that Pakistan should start offering masterclasses on how to balance rival powers.
