Charlie Kirk, co-founder of the student organization Turning Point USA, was murdered during an event at Utah Valley University (Orem city) last Wednesday. He was shot with a rifle. The investigative team believes Robinson acted alone, but they are also examining whether anyone else was involved. The motive behind the murder remains undetermined.

Following the killing, a political debate has intensified. Former President Trump and some Republican leaders have, without providing concrete evidence, blamed liberals for the murder. Conversely, Democratic leaders have stated that left-wing figures have also been victims of political violence in recent years.

According to official documents, Robinson was not affiliated with any political party and did not vote in the 2024 presidential election. However, a relative informed the police that he had recently become very interested in political issues and had also expressed his displeasure regarding Charlie Kirk.
