Navarro stated India’s tariffs negatively impact American jobs and that the money from oil sales supports Russia’s war in Ukraine. The Ministry of External Affairs of India has refuted Navarro’s comments as “inaccurate and misleading.” However, Trump himself has maintained a positive outlook on US-India relations, viewing them as “very special” and expressing his personal friendship with Prime Minister Modi. Modi acknowledged and reciprocated this positive sentiment.
