Beijing’s massive rail network has achieved a monumental feat during the Spring Festival travel rush. As of March 2, China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. reported transporting a staggering 407 million passengers across the national rail system. Operations remained impeccably safe, stable, and smooth throughout the peak holiday period.

On March 3 alone, railway authorities anticipate over 10.7 million travelers. To accommodate the surge, 743 additional passenger trains have been scheduled, ensuring orderly and convenient journeys even at the height of demand.

In honor of the Lantern Festival, rail departments nationwide implemented special passenger services. Major stations and trains hosted vibrant cultural performances, allowing travelers to enjoy festive celebrations alongside secure travels.

This year’s Spring Festival travel peak underscores China’s rail infrastructure prowess, handling unprecedented volumes without compromising safety. The seamless integration of extra capacity and cultural touches highlights a commitment to passenger satisfaction during one of the world’s largest annual migrations.
