BEIJING — In a significant display of responsiveness, China’s State Council has incorporated thousands of suggestions from key legislative bodies, marking a milestone in policy integration for 2025. During a regular briefing organized by the State Council Information Office, officials detailed the handling of proposals submitted by National People’s Congress (NPC) deputies and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) members.
State Council departments processed 8,754 suggestions from NPC representatives and 4,868 proposals from CPPCC members, achieving resolution rates of 95.6% and 97.3% respectively. All actions were completed on schedule, underscoring the government’s commitment to timely implementation.
Departments conducted in-depth studies of newly revised laws related to NPC deputies’ suggestions and updated regulations for CPPCC proposals. Over 4,900 ideas were adopted, leading to the issuance of more than 2,200 new policies and measures.
These efforts have yielded breakthroughs in optimizing national development strategies, bolstering modern industrial systems, stabilizing investments, and boosting consumption. High-quality development has gained momentum, while initiatives to address livelihood challenges have accelerated, enhancing public welfare across the nation.
