ABU DHABI – The majestic BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi celebrated its second anniversary on February 14, marking two transformative years as a radiant symbol of spiritual harmony and cultural unity. Inaugurated by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, this architectural marvel has welcomed over 4 million devotees and visitors from more than 100 countries, fostering a profound sense of global brotherhood.
The grand anniversary event drew over 8,000 participants, including dignitaries, diplomats, and families, under the poignant theme ‘Temple: Our Family, Our Future.’ This gathering underscored the temple’s role beyond worship—a vibrant hub empowering families, bridging communities, and nurturing harmony across diverse cultures.
Swami Brahmvihari Swamiji, representing Mahant Swami Maharaj, delivered the keynote address, drawing a compelling analogy: ‘Just as a child learns to walk in one year and speak in two, the temple has now begun its dialogue with the world, and its message is harmony.’ His words resonated deeply with ambassadors, religious leaders, tourists, and community representatives from around the globe.
A special tribute honored Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s champion of cultural cohesion, who hailed the temple as a ‘powerful symbol of shared human values’ and a testament to the enduring friendship between India and the UAE. He expressed hope that it would continue inspiring future generations with spiritual strength, moral guidance, and community upliftment.
The program featured the ‘Temple Dialogue’ series, highlighting the temple’s worldwide impact. Diplomats praised it as a bridge between tradition and modern diplomacy, while families shared heartfelt stories of it becoming their spiritual home, where traditions thrive and family bonds strengthen through service.
Children led four collective pledges—embracing positivity, family values, national harmony, and environmental responsibility—reflecting the temple’s commitment to tomorrow’s leaders.
Blending ancient craftsmanship with modern sustainability, the temple stands as a living testament to civilizational collaboration. Its true power lies in igniting faith, empowering families, serving society, and promoting world peace.
Entering its third year, the BAPS Hindu Temple reaffirms that through faith, service, and unity, a more hopeful and harmonious world is within reach.
