New Delhi is gearing up for a landmark event in the world of artificial intelligence. The India AI Impact Summit, set to unfold at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20, marks the first time such a gathering is hosted in the Global South. Rory Daniels, Managing Director of the Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI), can’t hide her enthusiasm for this pioneering conference.

In a video shared by the Indian Embassy in the US, Daniels expressed her anticipation. ‘I’m thrilled to head to Delhi next week for the Global AI Impact Summit, where our Policy Institute, in partnership with the United Nations, will host an event on trust and safety in the AI ecosystem,’ she said. Daniels highlighted India’s emerging AI guidelines and policy framework as a potential model for other rising economies in Asia.

The summit promises to draw tech leaders, policymakers, and experts from across the globe. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event, underscoring India’s commitment to leveraging AI for inclusive growth. This aligns perfectly with the vision of a developed India by 2047, emphasizing public service delivery, governance strengthening, and multilingual AI systems tailored to India’s diverse cultural landscape.

Organizers aim to translate global AI forum discussions into actionable outcomes through initiatives like IndiaAI Mission and Digital India. The event will foster multilateral cooperation and people-centric AI frameworks, positioning India as a leader in ethical AI governance. As the countdown ticks down—just two days away—anticipation builds for the transformative discussions and outcomes ahead.
