New Delhi witnessed a bold proclamation on Thursday as Telangana positioned itself as India’s rising epicenter for artificial intelligence-driven innovation. During the ‘India AI Impact Summit–2026’ and a US-India Business Council roundtable, IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu showcased the state’s cutting-edge achievements and boundless potential.

Babu emphasized Telangana’s world-class infrastructure and robust technology ecosystem, making it an ideal launchpad for scalable, future-proof platforms attractive to American investors. Visionary policies have laid a solid foundation for AI research and practical deployment, he noted.

Public-private partnerships with leading US tech giants are accelerating progress, while AI enables real-time monitoring of public services to bolster governance. In sectors like healthcare, agriculture, education, and urban development, the state is establishing dedicated AI innovation centers to lead the nation.

The upcoming budget will prioritize an AI University, AI Hub, and skilled workforce development. On social media platform X, Babu declared, ‘Our message in New Delhi was clear: AI security is not a hurdle to innovation but its bedrock. Growth without safeguards erodes public trust, and responsible standards will define how far artificial intelligence can advance.’

Initiatives such as AIKAM, TGDEX, AI City, and India Future City are driving sustainable, collaborative, citizen-centric governance fused with innovation. At the summit, Babu held fruitful discussions with Indonesia’s Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, exploring a Hyderabad-Jakarta Technology Skills Development Corridor. This aims to boost talent exchange, strengthen skill frameworks, and deepen ties between startups and innovation ecosystems in both regions.

Telangana remains steadfastly committed to innovation-led growth and global collaboration, Babu reaffirmed.
