A new study from Stanford University reveals the emerging impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the job market. This research shows how AI is affecting employment in several sectors. The study focuses on the effects of AI, especially on younger employees. Generative AI tools, like ChatGPT, are displacing entry-level workers in areas like coding and AI-related roles.

The study, led by Erik Brynjolfsson, Ruyu Chen, and Bharat Chandar, analyzed US payroll data from late 2022 to mid-2025. Their results reveal that while the US job market remains strong overall, job opportunities for employees aged 22-25 have decreased, specifically in sectors such as software development and customer service.
