Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the Pratibha Setu Portal in his recent Mann Ki Baat address. This platform serves as a bridge connecting talented UPSC aspirants, who were not selected in the final merit list, with new career opportunities. PM Modi emphasized the portal’s significance for candidates who have successfully navigated the demanding UPSC examination stages but missed the final selection. The UPSC exam is renowned for its difficulty. Many candidates miss the final list by a small margin. This can lead to repeated preparations, causing wastage of time and resources. Digital platforms such as Pratibha Setu provide opportunities and uphold the dignity of these bright students. Previously known as the Public Disclosure Scheme (2018), Pratibha Setu has been enhanced and strengthened. The portal currently holds data for over 10,000 candidates. The examinations covered include: Civil Services Examination (CSE), Indian Forest Service (IFoS), Engineering Services (IES), Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service (IES/ISS), Combined Medical Services, Combined Defence Services (CDS), and Combined Geo-Scientist Examination. Government and private sector organizations can register on the portal. Following verification, they receive a login ID. This allows them to access candidates’ educational qualifications, exam details, and contact information, leading to direct job offers. The system ensures the data is managed through a secure and transparent system. Pratibha Setu’s unique feature lies in providing opportunities to those who excelled in all the exam stages but missed the final selection, benefitting the government, private sector, and the candidates themselves.
