OpenAI has presented its latest and most advanced AI model, GPT-5. The company claims that it’s not only faster and more accurate than the previous versions but also capable of delivering safe and responsible answers even to potentially harmful queries. Significantly, all seven major features of GPT-5 are available to ChatGPT free users.
1. Nano and Mini Versions: GPT-5 will decide which model best suits your given prompt. Additionally, two lighter, lower-cost versions, GPT-5 Mini and GPT-5 Nano, have been launched. Free and Plus users can utilize these models when they reach their usage limits.
2. Your Personal Coder: During a live demonstration, the company showed how GPT-5 can create an interactive web app within minutes simply from a text prompt, making coding easier and faster.
3. Deep Research and Advanced Reasoning: GPT-5 now gives free users access to an advanced reasoning model, capable of collecting extensive data and performing analysis at a PhD level.
4. New Personality Option: Users now have the ability to interact with GPT-5 in the style of their choosing. There are four preset personalities: Cynic, Robot, Listener, and a new option available, enabling user customization.
5. Enhanced Voice Mode: GPT-5 can modify its speaking style based on your tone and instructions, making voice interactions more natural and effective.
6. Gmail and Google Calendar Integration: This feature connects GPT-5 directly with your Gmail and Google Calendar, enabling it to read emails, schedule appointments, and manage tasks. This feature will initially be available to Pro users the following week.
7. Chat Customization: You can now set color themes for different chats. This will make it easier to organize and recognize conversations.
