Microsoft is set to enhance the Windows 11 experience with a suite of new AI features, primarily accessible via Copilot. Key among these is the Copilot Vision tool, allowing users to scan and interpret content displayed on their screens. This functionality enables users to ask questions and request actions related to the visible content or across multiple open applications. Users can also leverage Copilot for tasks such as improving image quality. A Microsoft-commissioned report shows that a large proportion of users are integrating generative AI into both their professional and personal lives. Copilot Plus PC users with Snapdragon processors will have access to the AI agent through the Settings application. Additional features being introduced include an AI-powered sticker generator in Paint, a specialized tool for object selection in images, an AI-driven lighting option within Photos, and a tool for capturing perfect screenshots. The rollout is scheduled to begin in August, alongside other improvements, including a color picker for the Snipping Tool and an automated system restart fix.
