Microsoft is preparing to release a series of new AI-driven features for Windows 11, with a phased introduction planned for all users. Key amongst these features is the Copilot Vision tool. Copilot Vision enables users to examine what’s displayed on their screen via the Copilot application. This functionality extends across multiple applications and webpages. Users can utilize Copilot for tasks like image enhancement. A consumer AI report revealed that a majority of users are utilizing generative AI for work, hobbies, and personal interests. The company also mentions that users with Snapdragon-powered Copilot Plus PCs can access the AI agent through the Settings application. The “Click to Do” feature will enhance the user experience for Copilot Plus users, enabling capabilities such as text summarization and improving reading fluency. The update will also include additional features such as an AI-powered sticker generator in Paint, an object select tool, an AI lighting option in Photos, and an AI-powered screenshot tool. The rollout of these features will start in August, and will be accompanied by the release of features such as a colour picker within the Snipping Tool, and a mechanism that allows PCs to auto-fix issues that causes unexpected restarts.
