New Delhi, February 7. Union Health Minister JP Nadda delivered a powerful message to India’s youth during his address at the 2025-26 convocation ceremony of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI). Calling on the graduating students to embrace responsibility, Nadda emphasized that their academic journey’s end marks the beginning of a vital phase of contribution to society and the nation.

Nadda highlighted the unique timing of these graduates entering the professional world amid India’s Amrit Kaal Phase 2, a transformative period aiming for full development by 2047. ‘You are fortunate to start your careers in this era of immense opportunities and equally significant responsibilities,’ he stated, urging them to play a pivotal role in national progress.

Drawing from personal ethos, the minister stressed repaying society’s support through selfless service. He advocated for advancing with strong values, ethical conduct, and a commitment to public welfare. Nadda also praised the monumental strides under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past 11 years.

In healthcare, achievements stand tall: from six to 23 AIIMS established nationwide, bolstering modern infrastructure. India has made remarkable gains in health indicators, slashing maternal and child mortality, alongside sharp declines in TB and malaria cases and deaths. Initiatives like Ayushman Bharat and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have slashed out-of-pocket expenses, making healthcare accessible and affordable.

The event saw 2,150 students from engineering, management, law, education, science, and healthcare receiving degrees, including 521 undergraduates, 58 postgraduates, and 11 doctoral scholars—a testament to academic excellence and future promise.
