New Delhi’s India AI Impact Summit 2026 has wrapped up, but its echoes are just beginning to resonate worldwide. This wasn’t merely an event; it was a declaration that India is no longer just a market for artificial intelligence—it’s a pivotal partner in crafting its future.

The week-long summit featured the grand India AI Impact Expo, sprawling across 70,000 square meters and showcasing innovations in ten key sectors. Global leaders, tech pioneers, researchers, and students mingled in vast halls, exchanging ideas amid cutting-edge demonstrations.

At the heart of it all was a timeless theme rooted in India’s civilizational ethos: ‘Sarve Jana Sukhino Bhavantu’—welfare and happiness for all. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his keynote address, positioned this as India’s benchmark for AI development. He highlighted the nation’s diversity, demographics, and democratic fabric as enduring strengths.

‘Make it in India, take it to the world,’ Modi declared, emphasizing that AI models succeeding here can scale globally, benefiting humanity at large.

French President Emmanuel Macron lavished praise on India’s digital feats: a digital identity for 1.4 billion people, a payment system handling 20 billion transactions monthly, and 50 million digital health IDs. ‘This is the India Stack—open, interoperable, sovereign,’ he said, underscoring the unprecedented pace of progress.

The summit’s scale was staggering, yet the atmosphere fostered collaboration over competition. With multilateral institutions and world leaders in attendance, it transcended a trade fair, emerging as a defining platform for AI governance in an interconnected world.

India solidified its image as a confident host and powerhouse nation, eager to share its digital public infrastructure while learning from others. Here, sovereign ambitions align seamlessly with global responsibility, setting the stage for a collaborative AI era.
