New Delhi is gearing up for what promises to be the largest global AI summit yet. The India AI Impact Summit, scheduled for February 16-20, 2026, has already surpassed all expectations with more than 35,000 registrations pouring in from around the world. This event underscores a pivotal shift towards responsible, inclusive, and outcome-driven artificial intelligence, building on the momentum of four previous international gatherings.
The summit’s appeal spans continents, drawing participants from over 100 countries. High-profile attendees include 15 to 20 heads of state, over 50 ministers from various nations, and more than 40 CEOs from leading global and Indian corporations. Nearly 500 key figures from the AI ecosystem—innovators, researchers, and chief technology officers—will also converge in the capital.
A standout feature is the Startup Showcase, spotlighting over 500 AI startups, complemented by around 500 sessions running alongside the main program. This makes it one of the most comprehensive AI-focused global conferences to date.
Pre-summit buzz has been electric. Organizers received over 1,300 proposals for lead-up events, with more than 500 already held across India and internationally. Seven major thematic programs under the summit framework attracted over 300,000 participants, highlighting widespread national and global interest.
Evolving from initial discussions on AI risks at Bletchley Park, to ethics and inclusion in Seoul, and shared principles in Paris, this summit marks India’s rising leadership in global AI discourse. It prioritizes turning vision into actionable, ground-level results.
Governments, industry leaders, researchers, civil society, and international bodies will actively shape the agenda. Detailed information on programs, focus areas, and participation is available on the official summit website.
