New Delhi is gearing up for what promises to be the largest global AI gathering yet. The India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for February 16-20, has already surpassed 35,000 registrations from over 100 countries. This unprecedented interest underscores the world’s growing focus on responsible and inclusive artificial intelligence.
Organized by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, the summit will feature more than 500 startups from across the globe showcasing their innovations in a dedicated startup showcase. Attendees can expect around 500 sessions packed with discussions on AI’s real-world applications and impacts.
High-profile participation is a highlight. Expectations include 15-20 heads of state, over 50 ministers from various nations, and more than 40 CEOs from leading Indian and international companies. Nearly 500 key figures from the global AI ecosystem—innovators, researchers, and chief technology officers—will also join the event.
The summit’s agenda emphasizes translating vision into action, prioritizing outcomes that matter on the ground. Governments, industry leaders, researchers, civil society organizations, and international bodies are actively shaping the discussions.
Pre-summit momentum is equally impressive. Over 1,300 proposals have been received for pre-events, with more than 500 such programs already held worldwide across diverse sectors. Seven major flagship events under the summit framework have drawn over 300,000 participants, reflecting broad national and international engagement.
This event marks India’s rising prominence in global AI dialogues. Evolving from early focuses on risks at Bletchley Park, ethics in Seoul, and shared principles in Paris, the India AI Impact Summit positions the country as a leader in driving impactful AI governance and innovation.
