When making purchases on Flipkart, buyers are presented with a Protect Promise Fee. Many question the value of this extra cost. This fee provides customers with two key benefits.

The first benefit is the secure delivery of the product. Secondly, it offers Open Box Delivery, enabling customers to check their product’s condition and confirm they have received the correct item at the time of delivery.

This is particularly valuable given reports of items being swapped, such as receiving soap instead of a phone. By paying the Protect Promise Fee, customers can take advantage of Open Box Delivery, and reduce risks.

The fee amount varies depending on the product, ranging from ₹19 to ₹149. This extra charge is usually applied to electronics, high-end home appliances like soundbars, smart TVs, refrigerators, tablets, and AC units. It is worth noting that the fee might not apply to certain products like data cables. Customers are encouraged to review charges carefully during the purchase.
