ChatGPT is making strides in the Indian market, with an emphasis on expanding its AI offerings. Conversations with Reliance Industries are ongoing to explore future collaborations. OpenAI is targeting the Indian market with cost-effective AI solutions, and the company has launched ChatGPT Go. The plan is priced at ₹399 per month. According to an announcement by Nick Turley, OpenAI’s VP and Head of ChatGPT, the Go version provides users with 10x higher messaging limits, 10x more image generations, 10x more file uploads, and 2x more memory than the free tier. Compared to the top-tier ChatGPT and ChatGPT Pro plans, which are priced at ₹19,900 per month, the Go version is more affordable. OpenAI has also incorporated UPI payments to simplify the subscription process for Indian users. The Go plan includes extended access to GPT-5, increased image generation, file upload capacity, advanced data analysis, longer memory, and the ability to build personalized AI tools. However, it does not include access to legacy models, third-party integrations, Sora video creation tools, or API usage (billed separately).
