New Delhi witnessed a pivotal moment at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, where Bihar’s leadership outlined ambitious plans to harness artificial intelligence for transformative growth. Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, popularly known as Lalan Singh, declared that Bihar’s youth will carve out a unique global identity in the AI domain, building on their proven merit across various fields.
The summit drew experts from around the world, underscoring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to position India as the world’s AI hub. Lalan Singh highlighted Bihar’s vast open landscapes and untapped potential, emphasizing how AI will drive the state’s development across sectors. ‘Bihar’s children are already established worldwide on merit, and they will do the same in AI,’ he affirmed.
Bihar’s ministers echoed this optimism. Sanjay Jha pointed to agriculture and healthcare as prime beneficiaries, where AI can enhance efficiency, transparency, and service delivery. He revealed upcoming Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to bolster data and AI initiatives, propelling Bihar to match leading states. Jha praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s focus on transparent, clean governance, with AI playing a starring role.
Dilip Jaiswal celebrated the global convergence of experts as proof of India’s technological ascent. ‘India is no longer behind anyone,’ he stated, announcing AI integration in semiconductors and panchayati raj in Bihar. Shreyasi Singh, another minister, took pride in Bihar’s youthful demographic, predicting massive benefits from AI skilling programs. Plans include an IIT research park expected to generate over 10,000 jobs and skill 50,000 youth.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s presence reinforced Bihar’s commitment. This summit signals a new era where Bihar leverages AI not just for progress, but for global leadership.
