New Delhi, February 18 – A groundbreaking report released Wednesday reveals that Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR together dominate more than 50% of India’s artificial intelligence (AI) job market. Bengaluru alone accounts for 25.4% of these opportunities, underscoring its status as the nation’s tech epicenter.

The comprehensive analysis by CBRE South Asia Private Limited examined over 64,500 active AI job listings on Naukri.com as of December 2025. Delhi-NCR follows closely with 24.8%, while Mumbai secures 19.2%. Collectively, these three metros host nearly 70% of all AI-related positions in the country.

Key sectors driving this boom include engineering (software and quality assurance), data science and analytics, and customer success, services, and operations. This diversification signals AI’s expansion beyond pure tech development into frontline business functions.

“India isn’t just coding AI; it’s shaping how it’s deployed and operated for global consumers,” the report states, highlighting the country’s pivotal role in practical AI implementation.

The AI surge is reshaping commercial real estate too. In 2025, Bengaluru led office leasing with 26% market share, pushing total activity to 82.6 million square feet. The city also captured over one-third of Global Capability Center (GCC) leasing nationwide.

Delhi-NCR’s AI demand spans IT, consulting, fintech, healthcare, and public sectors, reflecting broad industry adoption. Anshuman Magazine, Chairman and CEO of CBRE (India, Southeast Asia, MEA), emphasized, “AI has transitioned from buzzword to a cornerstone of India’s economic and infrastructure growth story.”

He added that the rising demand for AI talent marks a shift: global firms now view India not merely as a service hub but as a full-fledged innovation powerhouse, poised to redefine its economic landscape and global digital value chain position.
