Ahmedabad emerged as a hub for cutting-edge aerospace innovation on Saturday as Adani University took center stage hosting the prestigious IETE West Zone Seminar on ‘Trends and Innovations in Aerospace Electronics’ alongside the IETE Students Forum (ISF) Congress 2026. This multi-location event, organized by the Delhi-headquartered Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), drew leaders from space, defense, banking, and education sectors to Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
The university’s role in spearheading the inaugural sessions underscored its growing stature as a beacon for technology-driven education and research. By fostering discussions on aerospace and electronics capabilities, Adani University aligned itself with India’s national push towards self-reliance in critical technologies.
Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence and Aerospace, delivered the keynote address, outlining the pivotal role of electronics and avionics in nation-building. He elaborated on the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and a roadmap to Viksit Bharat by 2047, emphasizing indigenous innovation to propel India’s aerospace ambitions.
Provost Professor (Dr.) Dhaval Pujara highlighted the university’s commitment to innovation-led education, research excellence, and collaborations in emerging tech domains. The opening remarks came from Preeti Agarwal, Chair of IETE’s Ahmedabad chapter.
IETE President Sunil noted that the seminar featured a series of technical sessions and expert-led discussions on emerging aerospace technologies, research advancements, and innovation trends. Sessions spanned both Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, with the inaugural ceremony at Adani University’s Shantigram campus kicking off with a traditional lamp-lighting.
Industry professionals, academics, researchers, and students actively participated, transforming the event into a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange. Key attendees included Nilesh Desai, Director of ISRO’s Space Applications Centre, as chief guest, and Ashish Pandey, MD & CEO of Union Bank of India, as special guest.
This gathering not only showcased India’s strides in aerospace electronics but also reinforced Adani University’s pivotal role in bridging academia and industry for future technological leaps.
