  • This is a madrasa, who will raid here? This misunderstanding landed the entire gang including the Maulvi in jail, they used to do this work in a place where children were being trained

Prayagraj. Muslim students come to madrasas to receive religious training. In Muslim society, madrasas are considered sacred. But what can be said if the madrasa’s maulvi starts doing wrong things in the name of madrasa. A similar case has come to light in which the police have arrested madrasa maulvi Mohammad Tafseerul, Arifin, Mohammad Afzal, Mohammad Shahid and Zahir Khan alias Abdul Zahir. The reason for their arrest is that all of them were running a racket of printing fake notes at a place like a madrasa.

There is a madrasa named Jamia Habibiya Masjid-e-Azam in the Atarsuiya area of the city. Its Maulvi Tafseerul had given shelter to the gang members in the madrasa. It was here that all of them used to print fake notes together. Since it was a madrasa, they did not suspect anyone. In such a situation, they were running this illegal business very comfortably.

  • Priyanka Mocks UP’s New Social Media Policy As ‘Regressive’, Says ‘If You Call Day As Night, Then It Is Night…’ |

The Uttar Pradesh government, facing flak over its new social media policy, came under attack from Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday, as she mocked the scheme as a ‘regressive and self-eulogizing’ move.  Priyanka Gandhi, taking to X, shared a satirical post, saying “You will say what you like. If you call day as night, it will be night.” Firing a volley of questions, she questioned the state government on ensuring the security of women and also asked what steps it has taken to resolve the recruitment reservation case, concerning 69,000 teachers.

“In which category will the voices of women seeking justice fall in the social media policy of the Uttar Pradesh government? In which category will the questions raised in the 69000 teacher recruitment reservation scam fall? In which category would exposing the BJP government by BJP leaders and MLAs fall?” asked Priyanka Gandhi.

Notably, two girls were found hanging from a tree in Farrukhabad district on Wednesday, sending shockwaves in the city and leaving the state administration searching for answers. The Congress leader further accused the Yogi Adityanath government of stifling the freedom of speech and suppressing the truth by issuing such ‘diktats’.

She said that the state government rather than resolving people’s issues was finding ‘new ways’ to suppress the truth. “The policy of ‘if you call day as night, then it is night or else jail’ is another way of suppressing the truth. Can the BJP not think of anything more than crushing democracy and the Constitution?” she further said.

The UP cabinet on Wednesday gave nod to Uttar Pradesh Digital Media Policy 2024, which broadly has two components — one is encouragement for popularising the government’s schemes while another is about crackdown for objectionable and offensive posts on social media.

Soon after the policy details filtered into the public domain, Opposition parties cried foul and claimed that it was a blatant attempt to quell freedom of speech as this would allow the state administration to ‘torture and terrorise’ people even for speaking the truth.

  • Influencers Can Now Earn Up To ₹8 Lakh Monthly As UP Rolls Out New Social Media Policy – Here’s How |

Uttar Pradesh Social Media Policy:  In a bold move to harness the power of social media, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved the Uttar Pradesh Digital Media Policy, 2024. This new policy aims to regulate online content and create a streamlined system for compensating social media influencers who promote government schemes and achievements.
Under the new policy, influencers across various platforms will have the opportunity to earn substantial amounts through state advertisements. The government plans to establish a roster of social media influencers, agencies, and firms, categorizing them based on their follower count and reach. Influencers on X, Facebook, and Instagram will be eligible to receive up to ₹5 lakh, ₹4 lakh, ₹3 lakh, and ₹2 lakh, depending on their category.

For those creating content on YouTube, including videos, shorts, and podcasts, the earnings can be even higher, with potential monthly payouts reaching up to ₹8 lakh, ₹7 lakh, ₹6 lakh, and ₹4 lakh for different tiers.

Sanjay Prasad, Principal Secretary of the state’s Information Department, announced the policy on Tuesday, highlighting its dual aim: to promote government schemes and to regulate content across digital platforms. The initiative is expected to enhance the visibility of state projects and achievements while maintaining a check on the quality and nature of content being shared.

The policy also introduces stringent measures against objectionable content. Anti-national, defamatory, and obscene content will face severe penalties, including imprisonment ranging from three years to life. This development marks a significant shift in how government communications are managed online, reflecting an increased focus on both content regulation and influencer engagement.
