    Shikhar Dhawan’s Astounding Career

    Shikhar Dhawan, who made his debut for India in 2010, retires as one of only eight ODI batsmen to have scored over 5,000 runs with an average above 40 and a strike rate over 90. Among Indian players, only Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have achieved the same. Dhawan finished his ODI career with 6,793 runs in 167 matches, averaging 44.11 and striking at 91.35. His last ODI appearance was against Bangladesh in Chattogram in December 2022.

    Dhawan’s career peaked in 2013, a standout year for him. He scored 1,162 runs in 26 ODIs, averaging 50.52 with a strike rate of 97.89. A highlight was his performance in the Champions Trophy, where he was the leading run-scorer with 363 runs in five innings, including two centuries, helping India win the title. This success came after a slow start to his ODI career in 2010 and 2011.

    In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Dhawan played for several teams, including Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Punjab Kings. He is the second-highest run-scorer in IPL history, with 6,769 runs in 222 matches at a strike rate of 127.14, only behind Virat Kohli.

    On the domestic front, Dhawan was an important part of Delhi’s Ranji Trophy success. He was a member of the Delhi team that won the title in the 2007–08 season, defeating Uttar Pradesh at the Wankhede Stadium. Earlier in his career, Dhawan was the top run-scorer at the Under-19 World Cup in 2004.

    New Delhi: X, formerly known as Twitter has found itself in legal hot water. The company has been ordered to pay €550,000 (around ₹5 crore) in compensation to Gary Rooney, a former employee who was dismissed in December 2022.

    Gary Rooney had been working at Twitter’s Ireland unit since September 2023, as reported by fortune. However, in December 2022, he was unfairly dismissed. On Tuesday, Ireland’s Workplace Relations Commission ruled in his favour, ordering X (formerly Twitter) to pay him €550,000. This is the largest compensation ever awarded by the agency.

    Shortly after taking over Twitter, in November 2022 Elon Musk sent out an email to all employees with a tough choice to commit to  “long hours at high intensity” or be let go with three months’ severance pay. Employees, including Gary Rooney, were given just one day to decide by clicking “yes” to accept these new working conditions.

    In the email, Elon Musk stated, “If you’re certain you want to be part of the new Twitter, please click yes on the link below.” He added that employees who chose not to click would receive three months’ severance pay.

    The Conflict

    X claimed that Gary Rooney had voluntarily resigned by not clicking “yes” on Elon Musk’s ultimatum. However, Ireland’s Workplace Relations Commission disagreed.“It is not OK for Mr. Musk, or indeed any large company to treat employees in such a manner in this country or jurisdiction. The record award reflects the seriousness and the gravity of the case,” said Barry Kenny, Rooney’s solicitor, in a statement to Bloomberg.

    Elon Musk, the billionaire behind Tesla took over Twitter in October 2022 for $44 billion. Shortly after, he laid off nearly half of the company’s workforce and gave an ultimatum to those who remained which ultimately led to Gary Rooney’s dismissal.

    New Delhi: As the Microsoft Windows crash created mayhem globally, cyber-security platform CrowdStrike on Friday said it is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts.

    The company said Apple Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted.

    George Kurtz, President and CEO of CrowdStrike, said in a post on

    “The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed. We refer customers to the support portal for the latest updates and will continue to provide complete and continuous updates on our website,” he said.

    The ongoing global outage of the US tech giant Microsoft has affected millions of users across the world, including in India, where airlines and airport services are majorly hit.

    Millions of Microsoft Windows users are experiencing the “Blue Screen of Death” error that causes their computers to shut down or restart.

    A Microsoft spokesperson said they are “aware of an issue affecting Windows devices due to an update from a third-party software platform”. “We anticipate a resolution is forthcoming,” said Microsoft.

    The CERT-In has given it a “Severity Rating and said it outage of Microsoft Windows is due to crowd stike agent Falcon Sensor update.

    The concerned Windows hosts are experiencing a “Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)” related to Falcon Sensor.

    “It has been reported that Windows hosts related to Crowd strike agent “Falcon Sensor” are facing outages and getting crashed due to recent update received in the product. The concerned windows hosts are experiencing a “Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)” related to Falcon Sensor,” said the cyber security agency.

    Microsoft Windows Global Outage: CERT-In has also suggested steps for customers to mitigate the issue

    The issues occurred in the latest update of CrowdStrike and the changes have been reverted by the Crowd Strike Team. If hosts are still crashing and unable to stay online to receive the Channel File Changes, the following steps can be used as work around for this issue:

    – Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment

    – Navigate to the C:WindowsSystem32driversCrowdStrike directory

    – Locate the file matching “C-00000291*.sys”, and delete it.

    -Boot the host normally.

    CERT-In has also advised users to check the latest updates from Crowd Strike portal.

    In a fresh post on X, he said that there has been a “massive increase in likes after they were made private.”

    After this change, the X users will not be able to see the posts that other users have liked on the platform.

    According to the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, the move is important to allow people to like posts without getting attacked for doing so.

    According to the social media platform, ‘likes’ are visible between you and the author.

    “The author will be notified, but not anyone else. The bookmark is only visible to you. We could even make it customisable for users,” according to the company.
