That too because the husband had doubts about his wife’s character and she was refusing to go back to her in-laws’ house. After which the accused committed the murder by attacking with a tangia. This case is from Lalbagh police station area.

    According to the information, sister-in-law Bhuneshwari Sahu and aunt-in-law were weeding the fields in Pairi Bant Khar of Budhbharda village of Lalbag police station area. Meanwhile, Bhuneshwari Sahu’s husband Omprakash Sahu came on his motorcycle and parked the bike on the side of the road and came to the field with a tangia in his hand and said to his wife that when I tell her to go to her in-laws’ house, she makes an excuse of being unwell and is working in the field here. Saying that I will not leave you today, he started beating Bhuneshwari Sahu with the intention of killing her. Seeing this, sister-in-law and aunt of the deceased Bhuneshwari came to intervene, but the accused pushed them also and said that if you people come between husband and wife then I will kill both of you. While threatening, accused Omprakash Sahu attacked the back of Bhuneshwari Sahu’s neck 3-4 times with the tangia in his hand due to which Bhuneshwari fell down. Profuse blood started flowing from her head and neck and Omprakash Sahu threw the blood-soaked tangia near the same ridge and fled with his motorcycle.

    In this case, on the directions of the Superintendent of Police, the police formed a team to investigate the case and trace the accused. On the information of the informer, the police surrounded the accused near Mokhli culvert and arrested him. Along with this, the tangia and bike Hero Honda used in the incident have been confiscated and the accused has been sent to judicial custody.

The collector had visited Sarenda village along with the health department, PHE and sub-divisional officer Bodla and had necessary discussions with the affected families. The collector had formed a three-member investigation team of Executive Engineer PHE, Sub-divisional Officer Revenue Bodla, and Chief Medical and Health Officer Kawardha to investigate the real causes of death of three villagers. The investigation team has submitted its report to the collector.

In the inquiry it was told that the deceased Pankin Bai, wife of Nanhua Singh, was 75 years old. She was a resident of Sarenda. She was suffering from paralysis for the last few years, due to which she was unable to walk. Due to gradual increase in physical weakness, she died at home on July 14 in the afternoon. At the time of death she did not have any other disease like vomiting, diarrhea or fever.

    The age of the deceased Sombai wife of Sumer Singh Baiga was 70 years. She was suffering from paralysis for the last two years. She was having a lot of trouble eating food. She was not able to eat food for the last 20 days. According to the villagers, she died on 17th July at 3 pm. At the time of death, she did not have any other disease like vomiting, diarrhea or fever. The age of the deceased Anita Baiga daughter of Mahasingh was 29 years. She was 6 months pregnant. She was admitted to the Community Health Center Jhalmala on 14th July with the problem of vomiting, diarrhea, fever and bleeding. Due to no improvement in the condition, she was referred to the District Hospital Kawardha on the same day. Due to no improvement in her health in the district hospital, she was admitted to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Smriti Chikitsalaya Raipur. She died on 17th July during treatment. The cause of her death is not diarrhea or vomiting. The cause of his death was stated as septic shock with acute kidney injury with severe metabolic acidosis and acute gastro-enteritis with IUD.

    Villagers’ health checkup is being done by organizing camps: Collector

    Collector Janmejay Mahobe said that the health department has conducted a health camp in Sarenda village and conducted health check-up of all men, women and children. This check-up will continue in future as well. In the health check-up, villagers are being given medicines based on their health.   • CM Sai met Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Chhattisgarh will get direct connectivity to Ayodhya, proposed a new national highway

    New Delhi. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari at his residence today. In the meeting, the ongoing road projects in the state and increasing direct connectivity to tribal areas and Ayodhya were discussed in detail. The Chief Minister proposed new national highway projects to make road transport in the state more accessible and convenient. On this, Union Minister Gadkari gave necessary instructions to the departmental officials.

    Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw and Finance Minister OP Choudhary, Chief Minister’s Secretary P. Dayanand, Rahul Bhagat, Public Works Department Secretary Kamalpreet Singh along with other departmental officers and Government of India officials were also present in the meeting.

    In the meeting, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai proposed a new national highway for the social and economic development of the state and to connect remote tribal forest areas with main roads. The Chief Minister has demanded to declare the total 282 km route from Raigarh-Dharamjaygarh-Mainpat-Ambikapur-Uttar Pradesh border as a national highway. CM Sai said that this route passes through four districts of the state and is the main route connecting the religious city of Ayodhya to Chhattisgarh state.

    The Chief Minister has also requested to declare Kawardha-Rajnandgaon-Bhanupratappur-Antagarh-Narayanpur-Gidam-Dantewada-Sukma road as a national highway. The Chief Minister said that this is a very important road of 482 km length connecting 6 national highways and 5 district headquarters of the state. With the construction of this road, the Naxal-affected area of ​​Bastar will be connected to the main road and Naxal activities will decrease.

    Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also proposed to declare Ratanpur-Lormi-Mungeli-Nandghat-Bhatapara-Balodabazar Road, Kenchi-Pendra Road-Pasan-Katghora Road, Mungeli-Nawagarh-Bemetara-Dhamdha-Durg-Jhalmala Road, Rajnandgaon-Mohla-Manpur Road, Pandaria-Bajag-Gadasarai Road as National Highway.

    Chief Minister Sai has pointed out the need for four-lane widening of National Highway No. 130 from Katghora to Ambikapur and construction of grade separators at Sarona Chowk, Udyog Bhawan and Telibandha Chowk for safe traffic from Tatibandh to Telibandha on NH No. 53.

    Along with this, he has proposed to make NH 30 Dhamtari to Jagdalpur and Raipur-Balodabazar-Saranggarh road four lane in NH 130B in the annual plan 2024-25 of National Highway. At the same time, approval has been requested for construction of grade separator at two junctions of Raipur-Durg NH 53, Sirsa Gate and Khursipar Junction.

    The Chief Minister informed that proposals for 13 works worth Rs. 1383 crores have been sent to the Ministry under the Central Road Fund. He requested for early approval of the proposals. During the meeting, the Chief Minister also invited the Union Minister to attend the 83rd Annual Session of the Indian Road Congress to be held in Raipur in November.

    Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has assured to take positive initiative at the earliest on various proposals to strengthen the road infrastructure in Chhattisgarh.
