  • Chhattisgarh: Green corridor created in Raipur for organ donation, Gosai family saved 5 lives by donating Munni’s organs, donated lungs to a woman from Pune

    Raipur. The 9th organ donation has taken place in Chhattisgarh. The Gosai family has saved the lives of 5 people by donating the organs of 54-year-old Munni Gosai after she was declared brain dead at Ramakrishna Hospital today. Munni’s lungs were donated to a 45-year-old woman from Pune by creating a green corridor and she was given a new life. Munni Gosai’s children say that their mother was born in Rajnandgaon and she was a very kind-hearted person. She was enthusiastic about donating her organs from the very beginning. She and her family have also participated in noble deeds like blood donation many times. Munni’s entire family is a resident of Gandai.

    When Munni Gosai suddenly fell ill, she was admitted to Gandai, but due to the lack of ventilator facility there, she was admitted to Raipur’s Ramakrishna Hospital on the morning of 10th. On 11th August, Ramakrishna Hospital declared her brain dead, after which the process of organ donation was started with the consent of the family, in which one kidney was donated to AIIMS Raipur and one kidney to Ramakrishna. Ramakrishna also got her liver. The eyes were handed over to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Smriti Hospital. This lady from Chhattisgarh has donated her lungs to a 45-year-old woman from Pune and has given her a new life.

    The Regional Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization had issued an alert for lungs in Chhattisgarh yesterday. After this, a 45-year-old woman from Dr. DY Hospital Pimpri Pune was selected for transplantation. The team of Dr. DY Hospital Pimpri Pune reached on time in the morning by air ambulance and delivered the lungs from the patient’s body to the needy on time. This time again, with the help of police, a green corridor was created for the immediate movement of organs from Ramakrishna Hospital to the airport and Chhattisgarh Mahtari’s lungs were delivered to Pune on time and safely.

    All the people of the state are very happy on this first inter-state lung transplant in Chhattisgarh and everyone is considering it a good initiative towards increasing organ donation. In this entire organ donation, Ramakrishna’s transplant coordinator Umashankar, Dr. Nikita Srivastava and N Vishok, Ambe Patel, Vinita Patel from AIIMS Raipur have been alert and supportive for the organ donor family. Director of State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization Prof. Dr. Vineet Jain has also called this occasion an important initiative of inter-state organ donation services. State nodal officer Dr. Kamlesh Jain has congratulated the entire team of all the hospitals doing organ donation and transplant.

The source said that the villagers are hunting this fish considering it to be tasty, the worrying thing is that when it is the breeding time of this fish and it goes to lay eggs on the opposite side of the water in strong current, only then the fishermen hunt it.

    Wildlife experts say that this fish weighs 17 to 20 kg, but due to continuous hunting, its weight has decreased because the fish are hunted before they grow properly.

    There are 47 species present all over the world

    The said fish is mentioned in a book published in 1848. This book was written by John D. MacDonald. It also mentions that the said fish is found in Chhattisgarh. According to the said book, there are 47 fishes of this species in the whole world. Out of these, 15 species are found in India, out of which Golden Mahseer Fish is one of the rare species and this has also been confirmed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

    The deceased Hariram Rajwada, a resident of village Khapri of Takhatpur, was posted in the Kusmunda Mining Department of SECL. On October 27, 2022, at around 5.30 am, Hariram was going to Kusmunda for duty on his bike. On the way, the driver of tanker CG-07, CA-9468 coming from Pantora hit him while driving carelessly. Hariram died on the spot in this accident.

    Baloda police registered a case against the accused tanker driver and took action. Meanwhile, the deceased’s wife and daughters filed a complaint under the Motor Claims Tribunal for financial compensation. In this, the tanker driver, the owner and the Oriental Insurance Company, which insured the tanker, Old Bus Stand Bilaspur, were made parties.
