Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. The series of deaths due to speeding vehicles is showing no signs of stopping. Today again two people lost their lives in a road accident. Two youths were going on a bike, who were hit by a speeding unknown vehicle on Ratanpur Korba road. In this accident, two people riding the bike died on the spot. On receiving information about the incident, Ratanpur police reached the spot and are busy investigating the matter.

According to the information, this accident happened around 10:30 am on Saturday in NH near village Beltara Rainpur of Ratanpur police station area. An unknown heavy vehicle hit two people riding a bike, due to which both the bike riders died tragically on the spot. The deceased have not been identified yet. Ratanpur police has started identifying the dead and searching for the unknown vehicle.

Under this, common people will be able to feed food to students in general schools. The menu will be prepared after consulting the students. The School Education Department has taken this initiative to emphasize community participation. The department has also issued an order in this regard.

Let us tell you that the concept of Nyota Bhojan has been originally taken from the Tithi Bhojan mentioned in the Prime Minister’s Nutrition Shakti Nirman Guidelines of the Government of India. Which is based on community participation. It is based on the Indian tradition of providing food to a large number of people on various festivals or occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, marriages and national festivals etc. In Chhattisgarh, inviting for food is called Nyota. On this basis, Tithi Bhojan is being implemented in the state of Chhattisgarh under the name of ‘Nyota Bhojan’.

Community members can provide nutritious and tasty food to children in the form of extra food items or full meals on such occasions/festivals. It is completely voluntary and people of the community or any social organization can contribute either a complete meal or food items in the form of sweets, snacks, fruits or sprouts etc. as additional supplementary nutrition. In the order issued by the department, it has been specifically mentioned that ‘invitation is not a substitute for the food served in the dining hall’. Rather, it merely supplements the food provided in the school.

Laxmikant Bansod, Balod. There was mourning in the district due to the death of two real brothers in a heart-wrenching incident. On Friday evening, around 7:30 pm, two brothers riding a bike were killed when they were hit by a truck between village Gotulmunda and Malkunwar Chowk on the main road from Rajhara to Daundi. One person was seriously injured. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot.

According to the information received, Rajesh Pradhan, resident of village Gotoolmunda, had gone out to drop his brothers Somnath Taram (63 years old) and Hari Ram Taram (55 years old), resident of village Malkunwar, to Malkunwar on his bike number CG 07 LH 8880. During this time, at around 7:30 pm, while leaving Gotulmunda, at some distance, an unknown 14 wheeler truck hit the bike from behind and ran away. One brother died at the scene of the accident. Bharat Lal, a resident of Malkunwar, took the other brother and injured Rajesh Pradhan to the government hospital in Daundi in his car.

After Daundi police station got information about the incident, station in-charge Mukesh Singh, SI Dhaneshwar Sahu along with the staff reached the spot and sent the body to Daundi Government Hospital through 108 ambulance. Injured Rajesh Pradhan told that he was going to drop the two brothers to Malkunwar, when a big car hit him from behind. The relatives of the deceased say that both the brothers had left the house together at five in the evening. Nothing was told about where they were going. When they reached the hospital after getting information about the incident, they found out that both the brothers had died.

SI Dhaneshwar Sahu told that in this incident all three persons were riding on the same bike. A case has been established regarding the incident and Panchnama has been prepared and taken into consideration. The vehicle that caused the accident is being searched.
