Chhattisgarh Cricket Association is going to organize Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL) on the lines of Indian Premier League (IPL) in the state. There will be 6 teams participating in this tournament, whose players will be selected through auction. The most special thing about this tournament will be that only players from Chhattisgarh will get a chance to play in this Premier League. The winning team of the league will also get prize money of Rs 31 lakh and the runner-up will get Rs 21 lakh.

Let us tell you that Chhattisgarh Cricket Association has shared this information in a press conference. According to CSCS member Vijay Shah, there will be a total of 18 matches in this Premier League. There will be 15 players in each team of CCPL. In this, players will be divided into categories from A to D. It will be decided in advance how many players will be kept in which category. Efforts will be made to include players who cannot reach the state level in this tournament. Vijay Shah told that the Cricket Association has joined hands with ITW to organize this league.

There will be live broadcasting of the tournament

ITW Director Virendra Chandra said that we are starting this league on the lines of IPL. This is the first time that such a league is being started in Chhattisgarh. The way cricket matches are broadcast live on TV at the international level, CCPL will also be broadcast live in the same way. We are also making efforts for its broadcasting abroad.

The tournament may start from June 14

It is believed that Chhattisgarh Premier League can be organized in June or July. Players will be selected through auction. According to BCCI norms, this event will be held 15 days after the end of IPL. The Cricket Association is preparing to start CCPL in the state from June 14.
