Raipur. Model code of conduct is currently in force in the country and state with the announcement of the dates of Lok Sabha elections 2024. From common citizens to different organizations are playing their role for voter awareness. Voting is to be held in three phases in Chhattisgarh, out of which the third phase of voting is to be held on May 7.

A unique initiative has been taken to create awareness about voting in the seal affixed on OPD receipt at Community Health Center Tilda. The message ‘Vote on 7th May 2024, then feel good’ has been inscribed on the seal to be affixed on the OPD slip of every person coming to the community centre. Let’s vote and get people around you to vote as well.

BJP candidate Mahesh Kashyap filed his nomination from Bastar Lok Sabha seat. Before this, Mayor Safira Sahu and six councilors joined the BJP along with about 2500 workers in the election meeting held at the city's Mission Ground in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. With this, BJP has come into majority in the corporation with 48 councillors. Till yesterday, there were 29 councilors of Congress and 19 of BJP in the corporation.

After the death of the worker in the accident, the employees created a ruckus, accusing the management of many issues related to safety. Along with this, the employees protested by sitting in front of the gate demanding proper compensation to the family of the deceased employee. After which, after the advice of Anjora outpost police, the employees returned at 12 o'clock in the night. At present, Anjora outpost police is investigating the matter.

There is also a fear that the way profiteering is being seen. Heat will increase in the coming days and the problem of drinking water may increase in the city. During this, the soldier lost his temper and fired at Piyush Singh with the air gun. The bullet hit the youth directly in the chest and he fell on the ground. After which the young man was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. The accused who opened fire is Pulakesh Napit, who is posted in the second battalion Sakri of Chhattisgarh Armed Forces. Malhar police has arrested the accused soldier Pulakesh.
