Here, regarding this matter, Hindu organizations surrounded Raghunath Chowki located on National Highway 43 and created a ruckus by closing the nearby shops. The police officers handled the matter on the spot and used force to remove all the agitating people from there.

    In fact, two youths of a particular religion, residents of Raghunathpur, located just 10 kilometers away from Ambikapur, lured minor girls and ran away. When the family came to know about this incident late in the night, they complained about it at Raghunathpur outpost. When the family members of the minor girls complained about this at Raghunath police station, the police took immediate action and searched the youth and minor girls throughout the night and caught them from Ranchi.

    The police have arrested the accused youth under different sections, while the two minor girls have been handed over to their families. After this, today Hindu organizations surrounded Raghunathpur outpost and created a ruckus in this matter. On one hand, the protesting people blocked National Highway 43 and also closed nearby shops. During this time, senior police officers and Sector Magistrate chased away the protesters using hair to pacify them. Now there is peace in the area. The police have produced both the accused youths in the court and sent them to jail.

For this, to make people aware and to explain the complete process of the scheme, Senior Superintendent of Police Raipur Santosh Singh has written a letter to all the police station in-charges and given instructions.

    The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has notified a new scheme for compensation to victims of hit-and-run vehicle accidents on 25 February 2022. Under this scheme, a provision was made to increase the amount of compensation, i.e. in case of serious injury, the compensation amount was increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 and in case of death, the compensation amount was increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh.

    What to do in case of a road accident?

    First of all inform the police about the incident and then contact the insurance company. After this the police inspect the incident and send their report to the Motor Accident Tribunal within 30 days. The insurance company decides the compensation amount on the basis of the report. If in any situation the person is not satisfied with the compensation, he can appeal to the tribunal.
