    RAMGARH: AJSU Birthday celebration candidate Sunita Choudhary gained the by-poll to Jharkhand’s Ramgarh seat on Thursday, defeating UPA-backed Congress’ Bajrang Mahto through a margin of 21,970 votes, the Election Fee mentioned.

    The AJSU Birthday celebration, which tied up with the BJP for the by-poll, secured 1,15,669 votes, whilst the Congress, an best friend of the ruling JMM-led coalition, bagged 93,699 votes after the final touch of counting, it mentioned.

    Counting of votes for the Ramgarh meeting by-election started at 8 am.

    A voter turnout of over 67.96 according to cent was once recorded within the bypoll, which was once hung on February 27.

    Even though 18 applicants, together with 14 Independents, had been within the fray, the competition was once principally between the Congress and the AJSU Birthday celebration.
