Through the petition, it has been said to make all the collectors a party in those 16 districts of Madhya Pradesh through which the Narmada river flows, and action has also been demanded against them.

Let us tell you that on these petitions, in 2021, the National Green Tribunal had instructed the entire administration including the Principal Secretary that the encroachment falling within a radius of 300 meters on the banks of the Narmada river and the construction work in the submerged area should not only be stopped but they should be removed with immediate effect, but even after 3 years of the NGT order, due to no action being taken on it, the matter is once again gaining momentum.
