    New Delhi: Sanjeev Sharma, the SpaceX Principal Engineer has gone viral on social media after a tweet on his LinkedIn Profile was circulated and commented widely by netizens.

    In an X (formerly Twitter) post, a user shared Sanjeev’s LinkedIn profile, captioning it “Indian Railways for 11 years to now at spacex is some next level stuff”.

    Sanjeev started as Indian Railways Divisional Mechanical Engineer at the Indian Railways in 1990 and quit Railways Indian Railways in 2001 as Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer

    He worked at Seagate Technology for around 9 years. He joined there as Staff Mechanical Engineer in 2003 and left the job 9 years later as Senior Engineering Manager.

    As per Sanjeev’s LinkedIn Profile, he joined the Structures Group, Dynamics Engineer (SpaceX) in 2013 where he described to have worked on recovery and reuse ability of the first stage booster starting from F9-005 to F9-0059. Led the structural dynamics effort working closely with aerodynamics, GNC, propulsion and thermal. After working in the position for nearly 6 years, he joined Matternet Inc in 2020 before and left as Head of Technology in 2022.

    He again joined as Principal Engineer in SpaceX in 2022 at the company’s Los Angeles area in the United States.

    Sanjeev’s qualifications, as described in his LinkedIn profile, says, an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He did his Bachelor’s degree, Mechanical Engineering from Indian Railway Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. 

    He did his MS in Management from University of Minnesota between 2007 – 2008. He has a MS, Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Colorado Boulder that he pursued during 2002 – 2003.

    New Delhi: Leading professional networking platform LinkedIn on Thursday announced it has added 10 new language options, including four Indian regional languages.

    The new language options are Vietnamese, Greek, Persian, Finnish, Hebrew, Hungarian, along with four Indian regional languages ​​— Bengali, Marathi, Telugu and Punjabi.

    The new additions bring LinkedIn’s support to five Indian languages, including Hindi, it said in a statement.

    “We’re excited to announce that LinkedIn is now more inclusive and accessible than ever. We’ve expanded our language support to include 10 new languages, each representing a vibrant part of our global community,” said Chief Product Officer Tomer Cohen.

    LinkedIn’s member base in India has surpassed 135 million, with engagement rates growing at 20 per cent year-over-year. India stands as LinkedIn’s second-largest and fastest-growing market.

    By adding these languages, LinkedIn aims to bridge language barriers on the platform, allowing more people to establish deeper professional identities and engage more meaningfully with their networks.

    “With these additions, our platform now supports a total of 36 languages, helping professionals around the world connect, communicate, and collaborate more effectively,” said Cohen.

    Last month, the Microsoft-owned platform appointed Kumaresh Pattabiraman as new Country Manager and Product Head in India.

    According to Pattabiraman, LinkedIn has evolved from being just a jobs platform to becoming a dynamic global community where professionals connect for jobs, learning, networking, and knowledge sharing.

    India is among the top five countries with the fastest-growing AI talent and has the highest AI skill penetration globally, and LinkedIn members are using AI skills three times more frequently than the global average.

    LinkedIn recently launched a new video experience in India, in a bid to tap into one of the fastest-growing markets with uploads growing 60 per cent year-on-year in the country.

    New Delhi: Microsoft-owned professional networking site LinkedIn has announced some new features that use artificial intelligence (AI) to make finding a job easier. However, these AI-powered tools are available to premium users, no matter if they are actively looking for a job or not.

    The new AI-powered features include personalised resumes, AI-assisted cover letters, and more conversational job searches. So, now instead of typing in simple keywords, you can ask for exactly what you want, like “Find me a marketing job that’s fully remote and pays at least Rs 10,00,000 a year.”

    After typing this prompt, LinkedIn’s AI will then show you jobs that match your request, making it quicker to find the right opportunities. The new features are part of LinkedIn’s bigger plan to use AI to assist its 1 billion users worldwide. Last year, they started testing AI tools to help job seekers and companies find the right match.

    LinkedIn’s AI Feature: How It Works?

    Job seekers can upload their current resume, and then the LinkdIn-AI-powered feature will analyze it and provide tailored suggestions to enhance its suitability for your desired job. This feature will highlight the key experiences to emphasize and even rewrite sections to strengthen your resume.

    Adding further, the AI ​​can generate personalized cover letters by considering your background and the specific job you’re applying for. With this new feature, it can save you significant time and effort, especially when applying to multiple positions simultaneously.

    Notably, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has fined LinkedIn India, Satya Nadella, and eight other individuals for breaching the significantly beneficial owner norms under the Companies Act.

    Satya Nadella is the CEO of Microsoft, which acquired the professional networking platform LinkedIn in December 2016.

    New Delhi: LinkedIn, a professional networking platform owned by Microsoft, is experimenting with a new feature similar to TikTok’s short video feed.

    This new video feed on LinkedIn is slightly different from other short video apps because it focuses only on content related to careers and professional topics. Currently, the innovative video feed feature is being tested and isn’t available to most users yet.

    According to TechCrunch reports, the feed was initially spotted by Austin Null, who serves as a strategy director at McKinney, an influencer agency.

    Based on the video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), here’s how to use this short video feature on LinkedIn:

    -Open the LinkedIn app on your device and log in to your account if you haven’t already.

    -Locate the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen and look for a new tab labeled “Video” among the options such as Home, My Network, Messaging, and Notifications.

    -Tap on the “Video” tab to enter a vertical feed of short videos. You will see a stream of videos that you can swipe through vertically.

    -While browsing the video feed, you can interact with videos in various ways:

    Like a video by tapping the thumbs-up icon below the video. Leave a comment on a video by tapping the comment icon and typing your comment in the text field. Share a video with others by tapping the share icon and selecting the sharing option you prefer (eg, sharing via message, email, or LinkedIn post).

    Notably, LinkedIn hasn’t disclosed the specific criteria for how the video feed determines which videos to display to users.

    New Delhi: Microsoft-owned professional networking company LinkedIn is set to introduce gaming to its platform, as reported by TechCrunch. LinkedIn, which now has more than 1 billion users, aims to boost user engagement by tapping into the puzzle game craze. The company has made this move as mainstream internet and streaming platforms like Netflix are already embracing games on their platforms.

    However, the company hasn't announced the official date yet.

    The professional networking platform is reportedly working on a new gaming experience. Three early efforts are games called “Queens,” “Inference,” and “Crossclimb.”

    A company spokesperson confirmed they are working on gaming, but there is no official launch date yet. “We're playing with adding puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience to unlock a bit of fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark the opportunity for conversations,” the spokesperson said in a statement.     App researcher Nima Owji also said that LinkedIn appears to be experimenting with gaming. However, LinkedIn did not comment on whether Microsoft is involved in the gaming project at the company.

    Microsoft's gaming business — which includes Xbox and Activision Blizzard — registered $7.1 billion in revenue last quarter. The company completed the acquisition of gaming company Activision Blizzard on October 13, 2023.

    In the last quarter, Xbox content and services revenue increased by 61 percent, driven by 55 points of net impact from the Activision acquisition.

    What He Alleged In LinkedIn Post?

    Verma claimed that the driver requested him to cancel the ride and pay in cash, which he refused. This refusal led to a confrontation between Verma and the driver.

    Verma detailed in his post, “The driver asked me to cancel the ride and pay him in cash. I denied and with unwanting will, he started the trip.”

    He further stated that the driver took an alternate route from their destination, citing traffic congestion. Verma alleged that the driver then demanded additional payment, escalating the situation.

    What Happened At The Moment?

    Verma recounted that his son, frightened by the escalating tension, urged him to leave the car. Concerned for his son’s safety, Verma contacted both the Ola helpline and the police.

    As Verma and his son exited the vehicle, the situation took a violent turn when the driver allegedly slapped him.

    Describing the incident, Verma stated, “Meanwhile, when I refused to pay him, I clicked his picture with my bag. He came out and slapped me.” Verma emphasized that he did not resort to using abusive language during his communication with the Ola representative.
