To further strengthen connectivity with Raipur, the capital of Bastar region, the demand for construction of four-lane road between Jagdalpur and Raipur is going to be fulfilled soon. BJP state president Kiran Singh Dev has announced that an agreement has been reached with the central government regarding this project and the Vishnudev government had given this proposal to the National Highways Ministry. The proposal has been approved by the National Highways Ministry and soon the construction work of four-lane road between Dhamtari and Jagdalpur will be started.

Under this project, an approximately 11 km long flyover will be built on the Keshkal Ghat. This will not only protect the environment but will also provide permanent relief to the people from the frequent traffic jams in Keshkal and the problems caused by it. The government is moving fast in this direction. Permanent solutions can be found for every problem and issue of Bastar. The advantage of having a double engine government is that it is easier for the central government to move towards a clear solution to the issues.
