Satyapal Rajput, Raipur. The future of about 40 thousand children studying in board classes in Chhattisgarh is at stake. 587 schools have not registered even a single child till now. Apart from this, in 553 schools, some 5 and some 10 children have not been registered. If there is no registration, these children will not be able to appear in the board examination. Even after issuing notices to these schools, the future of the children is being played with.
The school management will have to pay the penalty fee, not the children.
Secretary of Secondary Education Board Pushpa Sahu said that students of class 10th and 12th are studying in about 7 thousand schools in the state. Out of these, 1140 schools of CGBSE Board and CBSE Board have delayed the registration, out of which 587 schools have not registered even a single child till now. Whereas in other schools, some 4 and some 10 children have not been registered. The late fee for registration will have to be paid not by the children but by each school management. This fee will have to be paid not by the children but by the schools. A fine of Rs 1,000 has been fixed for each late delay.
He told that earlier time to apply for registration was given from June 18 to August 16. By extending this period, the time was extended till 31st August. The information was sent to the schools through the portal of the Board of Education. After this, the schools were informed through message and then a letter was also sent to the schools. Despite this, these careless schools have not registered the children. These careless schools have been given another chance with late fees. Now, to register by October 6, you will have to deposit a late fee of Rs 1,000 per day from August 31 onwards.
People associated with education work said that all the fees for the entire education session are taken from the parents of the children together, be it examination fees or other fees like sports. All types of fees are collected and deposited in banks and the interest on it is in the school account.
