  • ‘Infiltrators Luring Our Daughters…’: Shah Attacks Hemant Soren At Jharkhand BJP Manifesto Launch |

Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the Bharatiya Janata Party’s manifesto for the upcoming Jharkhand elections in Ranchi today. Shah arrived in the state capital last night. He introduced the ‘sankalp patra,’ which details 25 pledges symbolising 25 years since Jharkhand’s formation.

At the launch of the BJP’s manifesto in Jharkhand, Shah launched a scathing attack at Chief Minister Hemant Soren, saying that women and tribal communities are unsafe under the ruling JMM’s regime.

Amit Shah blamed Hemant Soren for ‘infiltrators surge in Jharkhand’, saying, “During Hemant Soren’s government, the tribals of Jharkhand are not safe. The number of tribals in Santhal Pargana is decreasing at an alarming rate. Infiltrators are coming here and luring our daughters into marrying them and occupying their land.

He further emphasised that the BJP is moving forward with the slogan “Roti, Beti, Maati” to ensure the security of Jharkhand’s pride and identity that the Hemant Soren-led government has failed to do.

The union minister credited former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for creating the identity of state and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for driving its growth. He claimed that Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s government, which took over five years ago, stalled many initiatives started by Modi’s administration. “Our former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee created Jharkhand,” Shah stated, “and Prime Minister Modi focused on developing it.”

The Congress party was not spared from Home Minister’s sharp attacks, “Whenever I speak about the ‘Sankalp Patra,’ it’s clear that the BJP stands apart from other political parties. The BJP is the only party in the country that truly delivers on its promises. Every time we’ve come to power, whether at the Centre or in the states, we’ve made good on our commitments,” Amit Shah added.

    Jharkhand BJP’s Poll Manifesto

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is elected to power in Jharkhand, it will generate 500,000 job opportunities, including 287,000 government positions. The party presented 25 resolutions to commemorate 25 years since the state’s establishment. Notably, the “Gogo Didi” scheme is set to provide women with a monthly allowance of ₹2,100.

“Our government will introduce UCC in Jharkhand but tribals will be kept out of its ambit. The JMM government is making false propaganda that UCC will impact tribal rights and culture, which is totally baseless as they will be kept out of its ambit,” Shah said in Ranchi.

The state’s 81-member Assembly election will be held in two phases, scheduled for November 13 and 20, with the vote counting and results set for November 23.

They are here for a few days; after that they won’t be found here. They are doing their work, I am doing mine…”

On the other hand, Himanta Biswa Sarma who was in Jamshedpur as part of the poll campaign attacked the current government and said People will teach this govt (state) a lesson.
“There is an environment of enthusiasm and excitement among the people. We will win all four seats of Jamshedpur with big margins. People will teach this govt (state) a lesson… NDA will form the govt under the leadership of PM Modi. It’s not my work to estimate the number of seats that we will win, I think we will win 81 seats,” said Himanta.

The assembly polls will be held in two phases — on November 13 and 20 — while the results will be declared on November 23.

Hemant Soren is the sitting MLA from Barhait (ST) constituency in Sahibganj district. He won the seat by 25,740 votes over his nearest BJP rival Simon Malto in the 2019 assembly elections. His wife Kalpana Soren had won the Gandey bypoll by 27,149 votes over her nearest BJP rival Dilip Kumar Verma. The seat had fallen vacant following the resignation of JMM MLA Sarfaraz Ahmad.

Assembly Speaker Mahto won Nala in Jamtara by a margin of 3,520 votes, defeating Satyanand Jha of the BJP in the last elections. Mahto had won the seat in 2005 and 2014 also.

The other candidates announced by the JMM include Dipak Birua from Chaibasa and Kedar Hazara, a three-term sitting MLA of BJP who joined the party recently, from Jamua.

  • Rs 31-Crore Land Fraud Case Against Hemant Soren Has TV, Fridge Bills As Evidence By ED |

Jailed former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s trouble in the land fraud case is mounting with each passing day. Days before, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had claimed that Soren took the assistance of a revenue official and custodian of original government records, namely Bhanu Pratap Prasad, in his alleged ‘activities linked to illegal occupation, acquisition or possession of proceeds of crime in form of landed properties’. Soren has been accused of illegally acquiring 8.86 acres of land valued at over Rs 31 crore.  Now, the ED has submitted bills for a refrigerator and a smart TV among other key evidence against Soren.

Accusations have arisen regarding Soren’s alleged involvement in the procurement of a refrigerator and a smart TV under the names of Santosh Munda’s family members. Munda claims to have served as a caretaker for Soren’s property situated on disputed land for numerous years, despite Soren’s denial of any affiliation with the land.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) emphasized the acquisition of household appliances under the names of Munda’s family members as evidence of their residency on the disputed property, contradicting Pahan’s ownership claims. The agency alleged that Pahan was colluding with Soren to conceal the unlawful proceeds and obstruct the investigation.

Additionally, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has disregarded Rajkumar Pahan’s assertion of ownership over the land, alleging that he acted as a proxy for Soren to retain control over the asset. The ED disclosed that Pahan attempted to gain possession of the land shortly before Soren’s arrest, prompting the state government to transfer ownership back to him. Originally designated as ‘Bhuinhari’ property, the land was purportedly acquired unlawfully by Soren in 2010-11, despite its traditional ownership by the ‘Mundas’ and ‘Pahans’.

According to Santosh Munda’s testimony, both Soren and his wife visited the property several times, and Munda himself was involved in construction activities there. These details were documented in bills that were deemed crucial evidence in the charge sheet, listed under the ‘relied upon documents’ section. The prosecution under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) was sought against Soren and his co-accused based on this evidence. The 191-page charge sheet identified Soren, Rajkumar Pahan, Hilariyas Kachhap, Bhanu Pratap Prasad, and Binod Singh as the accused parties. On March 30, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized the disputed land.

The ED had initiated a money laundering investigation in cases of land scams based on multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) registered by Jharkhand Police against several persons including government officials. The ED had earlier carried out 51 searches and nine surveys in such cases and incriminating evidence like forged seals of Land Revenue Department, forged land deeds, records of distribution of Proceeds of Crime, photographs of doing forgery and evidence of giving bribes to Government officials were seized. Searches have resulted in the recovery and seizure of Rs 1.25 crore of cash and further freezing of Rs 3.56 crore of bank account balances.

  • Hemant Soren challenges ED summons in Jharkhand High Court

Hemant Soren:- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday filed a petition in the Jharkhand High Court challenging the summons sent to him by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in an alleged money laundering case. His lawyer gave this information. On September 18, the Supreme Court had refused to consider Soren’s plea against the summons issued by the ED in an alleged money laundering case. A bench of Justices Aniruddha Bose and Bela M Trivedi had given liberty to Soren to approach the Jharkhand High Court for relief in the case. Soren’s lawyer Piyush Chitresh said that the Chief Minister has filed a petition in the High Court challenging the summons issued to him by the ED. The ED had summoned Soren to appear at the federal agency’s office in Ranchi on August 14 and record his statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

Soren had also not appeared when called by the ED in the alleged defense land scam case citing pre-scheduled programmes. The ED had questioned Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Soren (48) for over nine hours on November 17 last year in a money laundering case related to alleged illegal mining in the state. The central agency is probing over a dozen land deals, including one related to defense land, in which a group of mafia, middlemen and bureaucrats allegedly colluded to create fake documents dating back to 1932. Was.

The ED has so far arrested several people in Jharkhand, including Soren’s political aide Pankaj Mishra. Soren was initially summoned by the ED on November 3, 2022, but he did not appear citing government commitments. The JMM leader had also challenged the Central Investigation Agency to arrest him and requested to postpone the summons for three weeks. The ruling JMM has alleged that the chief minister was being politically targeted while the Bharatiya Janata Party had last week said Soren should not be tried by any court given the “kind of corruption” he has done in the state. There will be no relief and they will ultimately have to face an Enforcement Directorate investigation. (Language)

  • Chidambaram appeared in court on behalf of Hemant Soren

Jharkhand High Court:- During the hearing in Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday on the petition of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren challenging the powers of ED, senior advocate P. Chidambaram said that there is no criminal case against Soren nor any investigation against him. Agency ED has registered an FIR, hence sending summons to them is not right. He said it is not clear whether the agency is calling Soren as a witness or an accused. He urged the High Court to put a stay on the summons being sent by the ED.

Chidambaram was involved in hybrid mode during the hearing held in the bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Justice Anand Sen. Apart from this, Piyush Chitresh also contributed in the debate. On the other hand, the senior advocate appearing for ED said that this is a case of predicate offence. He said that Sections 50 and 63 of PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) were challenged on behalf of Soren, which has already been decided by the Supreme Court in the case of Vijay Madanlal Chaudhary.

The court has fixed October 13 for the next hearing. Assistant Solicitor General of India SV Raju is presenting the case on behalf of ED. Arguments will be held on his behalf on October 13. Let us tell you that ED issued summons to Hemant Soren five times to interrogate him regarding the land scam in Jharkhand and details of his property, but Soren did not appear even once. By filing a petition in the High Court on September 23, he has questioned the validity of Sections 50 and 63 of PMLA. It says that the investigating agency has the right to record the statement under Section 50 or arrest someone during the interrogation itself. This is not right. (IANS)

  • Hemant Soren called a meeting of MLAs

Ranchi. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has called a meeting of the legislative party on Wednesday amid speculations of major action by the central agency Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED. It is being told that a new leader can be elected in this meeting. However, Hemant Soren has denied that he is going to hand over power to his wife Kalpana Soren or that he will contest the by-election from Gandeya assembly seat of the state. Talking to a news agency, Hemant said that this is a mere imagination of BJP.

It is noteworthy that ED has issued notice to Hemant Soren seven times. The agency wants to interrogate him in connection with the Ranchi land scam but he has not appeared before the agency. Only then is it being said that the agency can arrest him. Meanwhile, Gandey assembly constituency MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed suddenly resigned on Monday, after which speculation started that Hemant Soren is preparing to hand over the reins of power to his wife. However, it is being said from BJP that the tenure of the Assembly is less than one year, hence by-election cannot be held on Gandey or any other seat and hence Hemant cannot make his wife the Chief Minister.

Amidst this development, Hemant Soren has called a meeting of the legislature party of the Grand Alliance on January 3. The Chief Minister is also taking legal advice in this regard. Hemant Soren met Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan on Tuesday. A meeting of senior officials was also held in which Chief Minister’s Secretary Vinay Choubey was also present. Meanwhile, the discussion about the sealed envelope in Raj Bhavan has once again intensified. The sealed envelope contains the report of the Election Commission, on the basis of which the Governor has to take a decision regarding the Chief Minister’s assembly membership. If the Governor disqualifies him, the crisis in the state will deepen.

  • Hemant Soren Hemant Soren will not resign

Ranchi. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a meeting with ruling coalition MLAs on Wednesday amid action by the central agency Enforcement Directorate, ED. MLAs from JMM, Congress and RJD participated in this. While presiding over the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence, Hemant Soren told the MLAs that he will not resign and will remain the Chief Minister. It is noteworthy that on Wednesday, ED conducted raids on several people including Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu and an IAS officer.

However, recently, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed had resigned from his Gandey seat, after which it was being said that if ED arrests Hemant Soren, he will make his wife Kalpana Soren the CM and contest elections from Gandey seat. Will make you fight. Rejecting these speculations, Hemant Soren told the MLAs in the legislature party meeting – do not pay attention to social media and newspapers. I am not resigning at any cost. Along with this, he has instructed all the MLAs to stay in Ranchi for now. It is being told that all the MLAs can go somewhere for picnic. Congress MLA Pradeep Yadav, who came out of the meeting, said that Hemant Soren is the Chief Minister now and will remain the Chief Minister in future too. JMM MLA Mathura Mahato said that there is no crisis on the government.

State government minister Mithilesh Thakur said- Hemant Soren is our universally accepted leader. He will be present. When asked about the sudden meeting of the legislature party, he said – We all have met in the new year. Met the MLAs of all the parties involved in the alliance and ate sweets. Congress MLA Irfan Ansari said- There was an envelope in the meeting. I opened the envelope on which it was written, Hemant Soren’s government will remain in power for the next 25 years. Earlier, a separate meeting of Congress was held, in which 15 out of 17 MLAs were present. Two absent MLAs had already informed about this.
