  • ‘General Hospital’ Actor Johnny Wactor’s Death Investigation Leads To Arrest Of 4 Suspects | People News

    Washington: Four individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of actor Johnny Wactor, known for his role as Brando Corbin on the soap opera ‘General Hospital’.

    The announcement was made by Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon on Monday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

    Wactor, 37, was tragically killed by a gunshot on May 25 while walking to his car after his shift as a bartender in downtown Los Angeles.

    Reports obtained by The Hollywood Reporter indicate that the actor was confronted by the suspects while they were allegedly attempting to steal the catalytic converter from a vehicle.

    The four suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Robert Barceleau, Leonel Gutierrez, Sergio Estrada, and 22-year-old Frank Olano.

    They were apprehended on Thursday, and the charges against them have now been officially announced.

    Barceleau faces charges of murder, with a special circumstance allegation for killing during the commission of a robbery, as well as attempted robbery and grand theft, according to The Hollywood Reporter. If convicted, he could face life in prison and is currently being held without bail.

    Estrada is charged with murder (without the special circumstance), attempted robbery, and grand theft.

    Gutierrez faces charges of attempted robbery and grand theft by embezzlement, while Olano is charged with being an accessory after the fact and receiving stolen property. All four suspects have allegations against them related to being armed with a firearm during the incident, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

    Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass expressed her gratitude for the efforts of the LAPD in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, saying, “I want to thank the LAPD for their work and partnership throughout the investigation and for their continued efforts to keep Angelenos safe and “We must continue to take aggressive action to make our city safer.”

    On the occasion of Independence Day, makers took to their Instagram to share a new poster along with the trailer release date announcement.

    The new poster shows Vijay in his action avatar with a gun in his hand. He is seen shooting goons in a subway or metro station.

    Sharing the post, they wrote, “GET . SET . Goat. Buckle up.. #TheGoatTrailer is landing on your screens on August 17th, 5 PM.@actorvijay Sir.” Interestingly, the trailer will be launched on August 17.


    Recently, makers locked the release date of the film. On the occasion of Eid, the makers announced that the film will hit the theaters on September 5, 2024.

    Produced by AGS Entertainment, ‘GOAT’ is produced on a massive budget by AGS Entertainment by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh. The film has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni.

    Venkat Prabhu has directed the film. ‘GOAT’ is tipped to be a period science fiction film. The ensemble cast including Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Laila, Mohan, Aravind Akash and Ajay Raj will take the sides of the hero and villain.

    Reportedly, he will be seen playing dual roles in the film.

    Vijay was last seen in the hit action drama Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

    In the pictures, Priyanka can be seen posing with the cast and crew of ‘The Bluff’. One of the pictures also showcases her family posing with posing with a cap which has an image of a skull on it. Her mother, Madhu Chopra also wore it and posed for the camera.

    Priyanka also dropped a video where Malti can be seen massaging Nick’s back.

    Nick also added some other snaps on his Instagram where Malti can be seen cutting his father’s hair with a toy scissor.

    ‘The Bluff’ which is directed by Frank E Flowers also features actor Karl Urban.

    ‘The Bluff’ is set in the 19th-century Caribbean and follows the story of a former female pirate, played by Priyanka, who must protect her family when the sins of her past catch up to her.

    Produced by Russo Brothers’ banner AGBO Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, the film promises to be a thrilling adventure.
