  • Salim Khan Opens Up About The Low Point In Amitabh Bachchan’s Career | People News

    Mumbai: Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan of the Salim-Javed duo once spoke about the rough patch in veteran Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan.

    An archival footage, shared by Lehren, shows Salim deconstructing the impact of setbacks on the life of Big B.

    He said, “I’m not a psychiatrist so, I can’t pinpoint and specifically tell what went wrong with Amitabh Bachchan. I’m not very close to him at the moment, I once was. I have done some 14-15 films with him. Many a time it happens that a person becomes so habitual of winning that when they lose it comes as a shocker.”

    He further mentioned, “I’ll give you an example, if Sri Lanka wins a cricket match, it comes off as a surprise that they won. If West Indies loses a match that comes off as a surprise too. Amitabh Bachchan became so habitual of winning that even a minor setback or a failure had a deep impact on him, and he didn’t take it very well”.

    The video appears to be from the 80s or early 90s when Big B was neck-deep in trouble. In the 1980s, VCR made its way to India as a technological advancement in the field of entertainment which led to a crisis in the Hindi film industry, the wave took a toll on Big B’s stardom as well.

    Then in the mid-1980s, Big B got embroiled in the alleged Bofors scandal, implicating Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and several other members of the Indian and Swedish governments. Big B on his part, has however maintained that his name was “planted” in the scandal.

    Later, when Big B left behind the shadow of the Bofors ‘scandal’, he got drowned in huge debts when his production house Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited incurred huge losses. The production house ran into debt after the failure of the 1996 edition of the Miss World beauty pageant. That was the lowest point of Big B as he had more than Rs 100 crore in debt to lend to creditors. It was the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ that bailed him out of troubled waters.

    Meanwhile, Salim Khan, who is the father of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, was recently seen in the streaming documentary ‘Angry Young Men’ along with his writing partner Javed Akhtar.

    Los Angeles: Tito Jackson, a member of the legendary Jackson 5 and the third oldest child in the famous Jackson family, is no more.

    Tito breathed his last on Sunday at age 70, Variety reported, citing information from Entertainment Tonight.

    The news of Tito’s demise was confirmed by Steve Manning, a longtime friend and associate of the Jackson family.

    Manning told the publication that he believed Tito suffered a heart attack while driving on a road trip, adding that the cause of death was officially undetermined.

    He had recently been performing with brothers Marlon and Jackie under the aegis of the Jacksons, including a date as recently as one week ago in England. In recent years he had also recorded and done many shows as a blues guitarist, under his own name or with the BB King Blues Band.

    Tito Jackson played guitar, sang and, of course, danced his way into homes worldwide as the Jackson 5 became an international sensation in the late ’60s and early ’70s, with a string of smash hits that included four straight No. 1 hits: “I Want You Back” in 1969 and “ABC,” “The Love You Save” and “I’ll Be There” in 1970.

    New Delhi: After being alleged of changing Pakistani Muslims name to Hindu Code names, now the makers of Neflix series, ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijak’ have once again found themselves in trouble, News Agency, ANI has filed a lawsuit demanding removal of 4 episodes in the series.

    ANI claims that the series features footage of prominent figures, including former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, General Pervez Musharraf, and various terrorists, without proper licensing.

    According to a report by Bar and Bench, ANI’s legal representative, Advocate Sidhant Kumar, argued that the footage’s use in the series, which has been criticized for allegedly downplaying Pakistan’s role in the hijack and for purportedly serving as a public relations tool for the Pakistani. spy agency ISI, has damaged ANI’s reputation.

    Kumar stated that while the movie producers had requested permission to use the footage in 2021, no agreement was reached. He emphasized that the unauthorized use of ANI’s footage, particularly those featuring the ANI logo, constitutes a trademark infringement. Kumar asserted that four out of the series’ six episodes extensively use ANI’s footage, including exclusive material from Pakistan.

    The matter was heard today by Justice Mini Pushkarna, who has issued a notice to the producers. The court has ordered that replies to ANI’s application for interim relief be filed within two days. The matter is scheduled for further hearing on Friday.
